What It Does

Baby Oil is the same formula as Newborn Salve excluding the beeswax and castor oil. This means that the oil is moisturizing and nourishing, while Newborn Salve more protective, emollient and moisturizing. We like to alternate these textures based on the needs of babies skin. We love Newborn Salve and Baby oil for:

Neborn Salve is the same formula as Calendula Salve

How To Use

After bath we like to take a few precious baby massage moments with a small amount of salve. We use a clean swab or finger to scoop out a small amount, warm between hands and massage into skin allowing a few minutes for absorption. As a diaper cream we use it in the same way we would any diaper cream. In addition to using as a diaper cream, we avoid overbathing and maintain baby skin health naturally by using a small amount of salve to wipe down areas that tend to collect debris and get irritated. Fat little necks, behind ears and knees, and various rolls and folds can be kept healthy and fresh with an occasional application of a thin layer of Baby Salve. Simply swipe the area with some salve on a clean finger and gently wipe out any excess, leaving a light layer for protection. We use Baby Oil the same way, when a thinner texture more complete absorption is needed.

Amazing products!

Our post partum doula recommended Ora’s newborn skin care to help clear up our baby’s diaper rash and to generally soothe his sensitive skin. After trying a few different balms and salves with no luck, Ora’s newborn salve cleared his diaper rash within a day! I’ve been using everyday since and it hasn’t come back. The oil is also lovely after a bath and leaves his skin so soft and hydrated. Absolutely loving both of these products and feel really good knowing they don’t have any chemicals but are still really effective and gentle. Thanks Ora’s!

Very hydrating!

I was not skeptical, but I was not expecting to see results AS SOON as I applied the salve!! My 15 month old has keratosis pilaris and some eccema patches on her legs and belly. They are small, but I didn’t want to wait for the issue to get worse. As soon as I applied the salve the pink rough patch immediately looked silky smooth and her skin color! I couldn’t believe it. I started using the oil on my face as well, and I’m going to order the body oil for myself. I’m very happy with these products.

Pure products for delicate skin

I first ordered the 1 oz set and then upgraded to the full size. I love the buttery feel and sweet scent (naturally occurring from the herbs) of the infant salve. I only wish the oil contained a greater concentration of jojoba oil. I had hoped that the oil would feel richer and more coating for my baby’s dry skin, but the grape seed oil gives it a thinner consistency that doesn’t feel quite moisturizing enough. One of my favorite ways to use the oil is to mix it with the Ultra Healing Body Butter so that the butter has a more spreadable texture to coat my infant’s scalp. Otherwise, it’s challenging to spread the butter through her hair. I love that these products are made with only pure emollients and organic herbs. They would make a lovely baby shower gift.

Wonderful Gifts for new baby

This is my second purchase of the salve and oil. I buy this for my grandchildren. Second grandchild had moderate eczema, after multiple creams, prescriptions etc the issues resolved after using Oras products. With a new baby soon to arrive, these products are a must to have!! Great job Ora’s
