Use a small amount of water to make a rich scrub and exfoliate, use more water to achieve a thinner consistency to gently clean your face, or leave on to dry in the desired texture to use as a mask and draw out toxins and oils. For specific troublesome areas, or blemishes, use a small amount of water to make a rich paste and apply to wet skin. Leave on for about 5-10 minutes to use as poultice (herbal mask) about twice daily for persistent redness and troublesome areas. Wash off with warm water and follow immediately with an oil, butter or salve. If using Licorice Love to assertively calm a particularly itchy or red area, it may work best for you to add as much water as you can before it becomes too runny to leave on. The longer the licorice is on the skin, the longer it has to share its love. That said, we have to watch out for irritating the area with too long of a treatment, so as always, pay attention to your skin.

This cleanser really helps mellow out my acne (esp. around the time of the month I get breakouts). It's super gentle and leaves my face soft & healthy.
This product exfoliates gently, but very effective. It smells (and even tastes) delicious (not that I’m eating it, but I don’t mind if a little drips into the corners of my mouth when rinsing). I have very sensitive skin, but I get no redness or irritation with Licorice Love, just a smooth, brighter face.
Like the gentle scrubbing. My face feels clean and smooth.
I used this as a mask to help with some irritating facial inflammation. It gave me significant relief, and shortened the duration of my symptoms.
